I'll post the link to the full press release below, but our new Mayor is not proving very popular early into her term. With an approval rate of only 38%, she is miles behind the early approval rates of both her predecessors.
While the ratings for councillors are slightly better, it is interesting to note the ratings for both are lowest in the SE quadrant of the city. While the reasoning for this is not known, our Ward 12 councillor has aligned his thoughts and votes very closely with that of the mayor. In fact, one of his first acts was to co-author an op-ed piece on the declaration of the climate emergency and why they felt it was necessary.
